It is not advisable to convert from one lossy compression format to
another...the sound quality will be poorer, and audible glitches may
surface...Agreed that we need to protest against non-free formats, but
given the number if mp3's that are around, a more practical solution
would be live it, and ensure that anything that you encode from now on
is done with free formats :)
