mkinitrd -o initrd <kernel version>
mkinitrd -c -k 2.6.8.1
[or whatever your kernel version is]
It'll create /boot/initrd.gz which you'd pass to grub / lilo as initrd
I read something about /proc being replaced with sysfs. So I have that
entry too in my fstab. What should I do?
Best bet would be to get a .config for a 2.6 debian kernel and use that as a
base for make menuconfig
