mkinitrd -c -k 2.6.8.1
[or whatever your kernel version is]
It'll create /boot/initrd.gz which you'd pass to grub / lilo as initrd
thanks for replying.
but mkinitrd errors; there is no option -c and -k is 'Keep temporary
directory used to make the image'
I apt-get ed mkinitrd only a few hours ago. Is my mkinitrd screwed up ...
