Does it?  Without using persistent connections on really busy web sites
would eventually kill your MySQL server and bog down the system.

Please tell me should i go for persistent connections or not. The web
site will get a max load of 400 concurrent connections. Also when is
there going to be a major release of PEAR updated final.
