i use gkrellm as well...i seem to have temporarily solved the
problem...there is a fixed dsdt in
http://acpi.sourceforge.net/dsdt/view.php?id=377. that seems to be for
Acer Aspire 3000, but I guess the changes aren't much. that reduced
the number of errors from 37 to 6. the interesting part however was
that it still produced an output file. including this using
CONFIG_ACPI_CUSTOM_DSDT seems to work - i get the battery charge
right, and my syslog isn't flooded either. however, i am unsure of
what problems the six errors might cause. i have posted to acpi-devel,
and am awaiting a response. if anybody wants the fixed dsdt, please
mail me.
