[Ilugc] BBC to screen a two part documentary on free/open source

The BBC is different from regular media - it is not funded by
advertisements or government funding. Thus, it doesn't have to adjust
its programs or coverage to suit its advertisors or politicians, it
can afford to be fiercely independent and fair.
Just curious, how does the bbc get funded?
