Live CD are also dependent upon the Media and most problems with Live CD
are due to errors in the Media. This is very true with Ubuntu Live CDs
as far as I have seen. You experience might have been one such. I had
the same when I tried to install Gutsy a week back, but as I had
additional CDs I tried with another CD and it worked like a charm.
Although this might sound a defense to Ubuntu, but it is very much true
to Media of all distributions. It is also true that, a person might have
different experience with different distributions, but please do not try
to generalize anything on any distro with a few bad personal experiences.
