TVA, with directions from State Govt (Dept of IT) had done some prelim
works few months back. a meeting was held inviting members from academia
working in language computing, industry persons (primarily those who had
interacted with TVA on font development, etc.) -- i had alerted some of
you. ramadoss(myself and dr ranjani from AU) couldn't attend as we had some
other meeting. Request was made to suggest software/hardware setups.
In the meantime, TVA had to wait for further directives from the govt. as
you are aware, things move slowly for a long time and suddenly a spurt
happens. will update this list after attending the next advisory group
meeting which is scheduled for 10th.
in the meantime, i can collate any input i receive and present the same
during our discussions.

In this news, there is no information about incubation center or
entrepreneurship.
To start with, the recommendation is to provide development facilities toin
individuals or small groups. While the govt would like to use the output
the state depts and agencies, the developer has an option to take the
product and sell. We plan to suggest the FOSS route, but there are many
steps in between.
When is the execution starts?
How can people approach the center for their development works?
Do they have to pay any fee?
How long a startup can be incubated there?
Is there any public announcements of these offers?
I fell the following action will help:can

While windows, photoshop, etc., are likely to enter the space, we plan to
ensure that at least 3-4 systems will be Linux based, MySQL -PostgreSQL
be the main databases, libreoffice, gimp, blender, orca, etc., will finda
place. Mr. Prince from Nic and myself on behalf of nr cfoss/cdac, withhelp
from other members (mani manivannan, chellappan) hope to offer FOSSrelated
support from the organs, lug and other communities.
