Hi,
I need a CD-ROM bay form factor gadget that will gave a 2 line or a 4 line
text/graphic LCD which will display system stats on a rotation basis. It
should start of saying 'Starting up' and once Linux boots, it should say a
welcome message. After that, it should show various system stats on
rotation basis. Apart from this, there should be a library which 3rd party
apps can use to show their own messages as additional slides.
Any college student / individual who is willing to do this please get in
touch with me. I can mentor (both software and hardware) this project as
well as fund it. The entire project can be released opensource.
I do know of a few projects doing the same, but I want an India specific
project which can use locally sourcable components.
I need this for one of my headless Linux boxes.
