To copy files between Linux desktop and your XP desktop, without going
through the hassles of configuring samba.
When I have to share some files within an intranet I just run the webserver
that comes in a rails app (which I have specifically created for such misc
work) with the file to be shared in the public directory and mail the url to
people I want to share it with. So, it doesn't matter if the other machine
is linux, windows, osx ....
