I feel, approaching Colleges is the need of the hour. I have some of my
friends working as HOD in an engineering college in Karur. I have already
conveyed to them. If necessary, we can push through them, through
appropriate means.

ok - thats done. The next priority is to produce a brochure. Why a
brochure? Because we are planning to approach people who have never
experienced a FOSS conference before - government employees, college
lecturers, research scientists, systems administrators. Also we need
a brochure for getting sponsors and to submit to the Ministry to get
funds. I would suggest a three panel A-4 thing that can be printed on
a desktop printer also. We will be printing in a regular printer too.

please polish this up. And it is not necessary that Niyam does
everything. Once the logo is out and the colours known, everyone can
make posters, brochures, banners etc.
And by tomorrow everyone will be back from diwali vacation, and we
can get down to serious work.
