GPU, network cards do work well with Linux than with Windows I guess.
BIOS developers don't properly confirm to ACPI spec fully, if windows
runs they assume it confirms to ACPI. So its not linux's problem.

In our College, a batch of more than 300 Wipro machines are working only with 
CentOS, and network card is working only in 10Mbps mode; but in XP 10/100Mbps 
is supported.

Please try to get more info and ses if there are solution for this in
google. I feel there should be some solution. If not filing a bug in
the vendor's support page is what you can do.
