Okular shows the presentation perfectly.
I think there is some confusion about PDF presentation overlays.
These are usually implemented as duplicated pages with some
additional material.
If you view a PDF presentation in a viewer which just shows you
page-by-page you will see many pages duplicated.
On the other hand running in "presentation mode" in xpdf or evince
or impressive will show you the presentation as the author originally
intended.
