Hi,
i installed 32BIT Ubuntu . i think the 32 bit supports upto 4Gb Ram. now i
like to change it as 64 BIt and i have the iso also. but i had a doubt can i
able to update the OS into 64 Bit . with out formatting the Existing one..
You could just use the PAE kernels to utilize the ram beyond 4Gb,
instead of going from 32 bit to 64 bit. I don't use ubuntu, but I
think you can pull the kernels off apt-get.
