[Ilugc] Help On Upgrading RH9

I am using Redhat linux 9.0 which comprises of older
kernel 2.4
Is it advisable to switch to fedora2.
which fedora core has stable kernel of 2.6.
I am using pentium4.
Can somebody throw light on the merits and demerits of
using fedora.
It's fairly trivial to upgrade a RedHat 7.x, 8 or 9 installation
to the 2.6 kernel - the only userland upgrade that is mandatory is
modutils.
Only FC2 ships with the 2.6 kernel, and (somebody correct me if
I'm wrong) RH 9 is far less buggy than FC2. You're better off
sticking with RH 9.
