which fedora core has stable kernel of 2.6.
If your current installation works without any hiccups, there's no reason to
upgrade. You might have to update packages that might have security issues
(occassionally, i.e.).
Fedora Core 2 comes with some noticable improvements in some aspects, with
most packages updated to their latest versions, and more polished GUI
environment.
But I personally still wouldn't recommend Fedora series on a
production environment. Older versions of Redhat (7.3, for example) with
security patches and updates seem to be more rock-solid (in terms of
stability). If you are looking for an alternate distribution, I'd suggest
Slackware 10 (though others might suggest you Debian Woody/Sarge, or
Gentoo).
