Have you tried to use Eclipse? Just try it once. It works only on
Project structures. Can't be used on individual files on different
locations though.
Pros: Syntax highlighting, auto-complete and compile as you type for
many languages + XML, XSL, XSD, WSDL, etc... Find and replace at
various levels (File, folder, project, referenced project, all
projects, ... ), finds references, etc...
Cons: Its quite heavy. It does not do a good job if the file sizes and
number of files go out of hand :D
PS: Eclipse is opensource. If you are worried that Java isn't
completely opensource (as yet), There is a version that has been
compiled with GCJ into native Linux platform too :-)
