Don't  get me wrong. I don't subscribe for any of those 'isms' -
capitalism or communism.

why not?
 In this particular context I think we might
try to get the CPI to lobby for our cause. Just because  them are a so
called 'National party' and that they seem to have 'positioned'
themselves to oppose whatever comes from US, be it capitalism or M$,

RMS comes from there - so does 90% of foss
we might have a chance to raise some noise through them. Like you
said, their actual intentions could be anything but helping our cause.

 Surely we can't go after 'captian Vijaykant' or Vaiko for that matter
who might as well ask what this thingy called 'FOSS' is. These CPI are
our only option for a political attack. And they have made some
substantial dent on behalf of Linux for schools in Kerala.

I suggest you stick to what you know about.

ps. how long a retired life in Ooty do you require to learn what is top
posting?
