Hi All,
I was trying out kgdb for my development. The test machine I am using
has a Cent OS 5 installed and development machine has a Debian Etch.
KGDB - 2.4 for Kernel version 2.6.15.5.
I compiled the kernel at development macine and installed it target
machine. When I connect the target machine through the serial console
and do a "continue" it is stalling with the following machine,
Warning: unable to open the initial console.
There are lot of such problems reported for vanilla kernel in the net,
but no defnetive solution has been mentioned. I think this has nothing
to do with kgdb, but with some kernel selection option.
Can someone give some directions??
