What you need to do is call 3 people ;

1) Call HP
2) Call Red Hat
3) Call Oracle.

All three of them have benchmarking tools and methodologies that I am 
sure they will be quite happy to work with you on.


unless you plan on stealing the bits, you are not going to get away by 
not involving the vendors to even start off with.
