in the context of gmail specifically, i think top posting sometimes
makes sense...firstly, one of the disadvantage quoted of scrolling
down text and coming back again is not really an issue due to the way
it organizes threads (This is the case with quite a few new mail
readers). Secondly, bottom posting hides the snippet shown along with
the mail titles. Otherwise, many a time one cud read the entire
message in the snippet, mark it as read and go on to the next one...
it moves on...
