Hey all,
While my team and myself were trying install my sql 4.0.18 over Suse =
8.1, we repeatedly kept running into the same error while passing the =
statment "./configure --prefix=3D/usr/local/mysql". The same error which =
read that the SQL daemon was initiated. Our problem is exactlly this as =
our step was to run the make file which should have been generated upon =
sucessful execution of the ./configure..... statement mentioned above. =
Default installation does not preload any version of mysql though it is =
available as an additional package when u try and install extra software =
from the CD.
Would appreciate any relevant feed back that might alliviate our =
position and thus mitigate the error.
