Is there any limitation? As far as I know most Image processing
algorithms can be written using the various transforms. Once you are
able to read the image as a matrix, then its your brains which have to
do the work. :-) Maybe I am wrong and I agree Matlab is far more
powerful. But I dont find much necessity for that powerful tools for
students who hardly even use the fft() function ;-) of matlab.
