I installed as per the article you have send and tried to remove swift
package which is not possible hence i removed
clang & libcurl3 libpython2.7 libpython2.7-dev and manually deleted
the swift file form usr/src
~$ swift --version
python-swiftclient 3.5.0
sudo dpkg -l | grep -i swift
ii python-swiftclient 1:3.5.0-0ubuntu1
all Client library for Openstack
Swift API - Python 2.7
ii python3-swiftclient 1:3.5.0-0ubuntu1
all Client library for Openstack
Swift API - Python 3.x
now how to remove this and i am stuck.

Did you read my message properly.
All I asked is how did you installed the 'swift' package. Removal of
package depends on how you installed the package.
Hope you understand the question.
Also follow Mohan's instruction and post the output of the command.
