Myself conducted a one day hands-on workshop on FOSS in Geethanjali
Institute of Science and Technology, Nellore, AP on 11/01/2020.
More than 50+ faculty members from CSE/ECE/EEE department attended the
workshop.

* All department labs were migrated to LinuxMint 19.3
* Complete Ubuntu 18.04 software repository was setup for simplifying the
migration process
* All participants practised installing/working with various FOSS
tools/applications
* The management authorities and Principal were the force behind this
initiative
* Some young faculty members felt that, working with proprietary Windows OS
is getting tougher now-a-days, and they felt Linux being more comfortable
for conducting the lab experiments.
Principal expressed his interest to start a FOSS club in the institution
soon.
