Application: AutoWifi
What it is:
AutoWifi is a useful application that allows Linux users to login
automatically to free WiFi hotspots that require web-based
authentication. Working in the systray, AutoWifi will login securely
to a hotspot once an SSID is matched.
This will make you avoid the hassle of web-based authentications for
free hotspots and make your connection longer as if you are connecting
via a LAN.

To install in Ubuntu:
sudo apt-get install python-distutils-extra
wget -O autowifi_0.1-public29_all.deb http://goo.gl/GjfXL
sudo dpkg -i autowifi_0.1-public29_all.deb
Use the Unity Dash to start AutoWifi.
