[Ilugc] [OT] Hardware Problem: CPU problem?

Hi


I dont seem to have the ACPI extensions.... What do i do?

lm_sensors (http://secure.netroedge.com/~lm78/) should
help. Try searching 'lm_sensors' in rpmfind.net for
a redhat-specific package.


Processor is running at 50 Degrees and Motherboard
around 38 Degrees.

You can also monitor processor temperature alone by
using ACPI extensions as follows:

    modprobe processor
    modprobe thermal
    cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM/temperature


[root@localhost c:]# /sbin/modprobe processor
FATAL: Module processor not found.
[root@localhost c:]# /sbin/modprobe thermal
FATAL: Module thermal not found.
[root@localhost c:]#   cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM/temperature
cat: /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM/temperature: No such file or directory
