Satellite connections are your best bet I guess - but they are
horrendously expensive.
There are a lot of sponsors with deep pockets. so cost is a lesser issue.
In fact they(ngo) are seriously considering a deal with a provider who has
promised very high bandwidth (out of his max of 11 mbps) for a one time fee of
Rs 1 lakh and a monthly fee of around 5000Rs for unlimited usage. But this
provider seems to have offered using radio to link up to his server in the
nearest city.
I am skeptic about going wireless for high bandwidths. I donno whether vsnl
would take up the pains to lay a leased line.
