Quoting from the Act -
"An applicant making request for information shall not be required to give
any reason for requesting the information or any other personal details
except those that may be necessary for contacting him."[1]
Until unless the act by itself is amended , an anonymous application is not
possible . Using technology we can try to solve some social issues . But ,
technology in isolation from politics cannot solve the political problem .
Hence an amendment in RTI act to provide anonymous requests and payment
mechanism as well as proper Whistle Blowers protection act[2] is the way
forward .
