Desktop OS Ubuntu 15.04 64 bit with latest updates.
Using glabels (v3.0.1)/ LO writer (v5.0.5.2) to create personal biz cards.
Both offer templates for "perforated" formats from vendors like Avery
paper. I have the Avery 5371 paper (US Letter 10 cards per page).
The margins in this template are Top 8/16", Left 12/16", Right 12/16",
Bottom 8/16". The cards are laid out in 5 rows, 2 cards per row.
No issues making the cards in either glabels or LO writer. I export
the page layout to PDF files and take them to a professional printer
(color laser).
The cards in the printout out do *not* line up with the perforation on
the paper; essentially I have to trash it. Measuring with a ruler, I
notice the left/right margins are 15/16" rather than 12/16", the top
margin is fine @ 8/16" but the bottom margin is 17/16"!
Yet on the screen the margins show up as per the format of the Avery 5371 paper.
Any idea what could be the problem? And how to fix it?
(I strongly suspect that the CUPS PDF driver is the cause but would
like to hear from others who have come across such anomaly)
