Does any body know how the winamp developers make money?
My wild guess - by being funded by affiliate websites that sell music
online. Nullsoft (which makes winamp) was be owned by AOL, and AOL
_also_ makes money by selling music online (thus using Winamp for
advertising their online music site, perhaps).
The last time I heard, the lead developer and the author of Winamp was
planning to quit Nullsoft due to AOL's restriction and control over his
thought and development of Winamp, in order to help their business.
