Dear Linux Guys,
I require MySQL 4.1 and PHP 5 for testing purpose in RHEL 3. I got
MySQL 4.1 RPMS for RHEL 3 from mysql website.
But I have PHP version 4.3.2. I need to upgrade to PHP 5. Is PHP 5
RPMs available for download or need to compile from PHP source.
How to create RPM from PHP source.
Even PHP 4.4 is also enough for me. I need RPMs since I feel
maintenance is easy.
RHEL typically will not release a different major release of a piece
of software. If it started with PHP4, you will get only PHP4 for its
entire lifetime. I consider this a good thing :)
You can try rebuilding the SRPMs from Rawhide. The ones you are
looking for are available at:
ftp://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/development/SRPMS/php-5.0.4-10.3.src.rpm
ftp://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/development/SRPMS/mysql-4.1.12-2.src.rpm
