Hi
I got an error while trying to install rp-ppoe (Error message: Following
files have been found.....Conflict in files - It's a big error message
listing the files that have been found).
I later learned about logging in as "su -", now the 'adsl setup' worked and
I gave all parameters. However 'adsl start' timesout trying to connect. I
checked 'adsl status' which give following message: "can't read PID file /*
var**/**run*/pppoe.conf-adsl.*pid*.pppo"
Also 'pppo' fails during booting the system.
I don't know where to go from here? :-)...thinking of clean installing FC3
again.

Check if you have the ppp kernel module, or that ppp is compiled into the
kernel.
If it's a module,
insmod ppp
should work. If it's compiled in (and you have the kernel sources, of course),
you should be able to cd to /usr/src/linux, make menuconfig and check
somewhere in device drivers->network or so...
Also, try running pppd from the command line. It may throw some light. :-)
