Hi all,
I am having problems with Suse 9.1 Pro.
ls lists all files including hidden without option -a.
cp does not overwrite even with -f.
I think you are trying that ls as root. It works fine for normal
users. Anyway, this behaviour is because of the way commands are
aliased in a standard suse install.
Try
$alias
and it will show all the command redefinitions currently active. The
system wide aliases are set in /etc/bash.bashrc You can add your own
(and redefine) to either ~/.bashrc or /etc/bash.bashrc.local
ncurses does not show color in Text mode (Ctrl Alt F1-6) but output is
colored in GUI. However command like ls give colored output even in
Text Mode.
no clue about this :)
More problems regarding mounting of Floppy and CD due to Auto mount
which i cant disable even after giving option noauto in fstab. Will
mail a copy of fstab in the nextmail.

A friendly tip: always search suse's support database... it's very
likely your problem has a solution there.
