Finding the cheif guest.
What about Dr. Iyampermal ??
He is the host (or probably the co-host). It will be nice to have some
hardcore FLOSS contributor to take the center stage. Do any one have
any names of such people. what about Mr.A. Junjunwala of IITM(just a
suggestion).Though i am ignorant about his contribution to FLOSS, i
learnt from my friend that he his the one who stood behind the
success of CORDECT.Do any one have contact with Dr.Kulandai swamy
(V.C -Retired) of Anna university. He his a veteran educationalist. I
request the members to put the names of people whom they feel, will be
apt for cheif guest.
What kind of volunteer work would be needed?
We look forward for volunteers to put up FLOSS demo, to take care of
the machine under the possesion and it may be anything. I request
Mr.Raman.P Mr. Bharthi and Mr.Shakthi to comment on this, as these
gentleman have experience on conducting such events.
What about
giving the ubuntu cd's to the teachers and show them running the live
and installing the other one ? I have around 15 cds left, hope we
would hv atleast a 50 with our members.
Ubuntu Cd's distribution for the function is under transit. These cds
are send by www.softwarefreedomday.org along with some t-shirts,
ballons and tatoos.
Though the quantity of items are not known yet.After the AUTOCONF and
AUTOMAKE presentation of Mr. Deepan Chakravathi , we will discuss the
POA(plan of action).
Mr. Parth, do contact Mr.Sudharshan, and discuss what you are going
to perform for the event.
Volunteers kindly attend this meeting, we can discuss a lot on SFD
after the AUTOCONF and AUTOMAKE session. I beleive this is the
penultimate meet before the festival, and then we will be meeting only
in the mailing thread.
