yes, i agree with you , but here the my objective is to give a student to
explorer much about open source system. i apreciate student copying the
code. their is no harm in copying exisiting with crystal clear
understanding. as same idea as in open book test.
show the code ask them how to write in more efficient way...

Adding to this and my earlier suggestion... another practical problem I've
seen is when a developer is asked to 'fix' or 'add to' an existing L.A.M.P

setup! So, yes, why not get them to tweak an exisitng system -- to some,
this is more difficult to do than create a new website (which I've seen
some
people do by copy-pasting code!)
