The Patent Office, India, has published a DRAFT MANUAL OF PATENT
PRACTICE & PROCEDURE (2005) at
http://www.patentoffice.nic.in/ipr/patent/manual-2052005.pdf and has
also invited suggestions to correct the draft. Our main concern would
be Annexure II, that deals with EXAMINATION GUIDELINES FOR
PATENTABILITY OF COMPUTER-RELATED INVENTIONS and all portions
incidental thereto in the Draft Manual, which is largely ultra vires
the Patents Act and the TRIPs Treaty. A draft representation is
