how to install Linux through VM Ware ( i have 80gb harddisk with XP)
Google it. It will help.
* Create a new virtual machine
* Select "Linux" as your guest operating system.
* Allocate at least half of your RAM as guest memory
* Create a new virtual disk with at least 2 GB in size (more is
recommended). Either you can ask VMWare to create the new disk now or let it
grow until 2 GB (or whatever).
* Insert the installation boot CD
* Start your newly created virtual machine.
* Rest of the steps is same as normal Linux installation. Only tricky part
is the partitioning the disk (unless you let the installation takes care of
partitioning). Here the disk shown is the virtual disk, so the device
pointing to it will be different that normal.
* After installation, remove the boot CD. Start the virtual machine.
* Thats it.
