[Ilugc] has anyone been successful in getting Chrome/chromium on rhel5.4 up and running

You can use the src rpms(s) of chromium on centos and rebuild them for
RHEL5. use the 'rpmbuild' utility. Good luck.


This would have been the preferred way - see my comments below.


I needn't have to rebuild the src rpms. Instead i got a easier way out
through this link

Right now i am posting this message via chromium in rhel 5. I am happy.


The package is provided by a third party that you are trusting
blindly.   The tar bundle contains a cache directory along with a
bunch of files in it.
