resending as this does not seem to have hit the list
hi,
I had a big problem. I was staying with some relatives, and convinced
them to try out linux on their brand new Dell desktop. So I wiped out
doze 7 and tried to install fedora 16 from DVD. Failed miserably. They
have a cable internet connection where one has to authenticate through a
browser. Fedora was refusing to install without internet and I could not
configure the network without a browser. This was in Hyderabad and the
service provider was beam. Got egg on my face. doze 1 linux 0.
So my question is: can one install Fedora without internet - and if not is
there a distro
that can be installed without internet
