Hi,
I tried compiling a 2.6.12 kernel and have run into a few problems.
Initially , I got a "VFS - unable to sync " error and the kernel panicked.
I tried creating a .img file using mkinitrd and adding the appropriate line
to grub and booted again.
It worked.But the boot process then threw up the error "
/sbin/mingetty[1773]: /dev/tty2: No such file or directory"
hung.
Right now , I have RH 9 in my pc.
If any more information is required I'll be glad to provide it.
Any pointers ?
