Hi,
I have set up gnome-volume-manager, and when I plug a USB drive
in, it gets mounted (generally at /media/USB DISK), and a nautilus window pops
up, showing it. However, no desktop icon is created, and so I cannot find how
to umount it, short of running the 'umount /dev/sdwhatever' command, but I
would prefer a GUI way. The panel mounter thing doesn't seem to recognise the
USB disk.
Can someone help me find out why the icon is not being created and/or how to
umount it without an icon? Even I checked configuation editor .There
volumes_visible is checked and other hardisk partitions mounting and desktop
icon is visible on desktop (becuase they have entry in /etc/fstab) USB is
mounting without /etc/fstab entry so how can i do that?????????????
Thanks.
