I host with dreamhost.com and am very pleased with the results.
You get 200GB storage, 1TB monthly transfer, IMAPS, SMTP-TLS,
Jabber, Subversion, unlimited mysql databases, php/perl and all
the usual stuff. You also get shell access to their debian
boxes.
If you find a promotion code or someone to recommend you, then
the first year's hosting charges are in the $50 - $80 range.
Note that I don't work for dreamhost, but I'm just a satisfied
and content customer.
