hi,
here is how u do it,
first make sure u have php, apache or any of the database server (i use
mysql for my mambo sites)
i assume u have already installed php and apache, if not let me know and
i will walk you through the installation.
u MUST have apache installed and properly configured to load the php
modules to run mambo sites locally
heres a tip to save ur bandwidth costs!!!
download phpmyadmin and backup the database containing ur mambo site.
ur hosting account should have provided u a database and some tool to
manage. using this tool u can sync both the database nad hence u need
not spend hours modifying ur site. dont forget u need apache or similar
webserver.
