Hi,
Many months back I had a problem using yum and other net based
programs,behind the iitm proxies.
Then Kumar Appaiah suggested the ntlmaps method and it worked fine.
But all of a sudden nothing is working again. Any idea why?
Could the proxies have blocked almost all the ports now?
I can't install any linux machines because of this problem. Any ideas?

did you try making the change in yum.conf?
sometimes the trailing slash matters... try something like this...
http_proxy = http://user:pass@proxy:port/
