[Ilugc] "libflash-mozplugin" not working on AMD64 Debian Etch

You need to decide if a 64-bit OS or a fully working Flash is important for 
you.

Adobe makes flash available only for 32 bit i386 systems. For 64-bits you need
gnash or swfdec. Both are present in Etch and both are outdated.

nspluginwrapper might still be an option in Etch, if you can get the
Lenny version to run, though I would recommend using Lenny, if the OP
wants to switch...

Recent version of both packages can play Youtube videos but will fail on some
other sites. If you need full flash functionality which works everywhere 
install
32-bit firefox and the plugin from adobe website or go completely 32-bit.

Though I have seen people argue that 32 bit OSes are better, I somehow
feel better if I use a 64 bit OS on a supporting CPU. Of course, I
cannot back it up with results promising better performance, but just
my feeling...

BTW, I don't have an x86_64, but several friends do. And they can use
Flash because they use Lenny with nspluginwrapper.
