And, if you're using IMAP access and your ISP supports filtering on the
IMAP server, and most do, you are far better off to set up your filtering
on the server side so that any device you might use to access said account
will automatically have the same "view of your world of e-mail" as all
other devices accessing it do.
That's one of the big beauties of IMAP and filtering on the server side,
though some e-mail clients, when working with IMAP, will actually try to
set up the filtering on the server if that's supported. I always prefer to
check via the web interface for an ISP/e-mail provider what filtering is
available that I can set up via the web interface so that I know it's
occurring on the server side.
