Subject: [jawsscripts] Jaws repair problem question!!
Hi all!
I'm trying to run the jaws2018 repair on the latest version of Jaws. this is
on windows10 the spring editiohn. I'm getting the following error after the
repair has run for a while any ideas what it means???
J2018.1805.33.400-enu-x64.exe is the version I'm running.
The repair runs for a while and then gives the following message after it has
gotten about 70% through the process.
jaws the repair has failed
the setup has failed to process the "fsWow64Proxy" component restart the
computer and re-run the setup program
error code:
80070666
Note: I've restarted the computer several times and re run the repair process
but still get the same answer. I've written vfo support but they aren't the
fastest to get back to a person so I thought I would write the list because
there are lots of very knowledgible folks on it.
Thanks and have a good day everyone.
p.s. the reason I'm running the repair process is vfo suggested it. because
since I upgraded to windows10 1803 this spring, my key echo works fine in
notepad, or word, but if I go to use the browser to go surfing, it doesn't
matter if it is internet explorer 11, chrome, firefox the keyboard echo
produces gibberish. Note the same thing happens on the desktop as well. One
can say hit the letter r to go to the recycle bin, but the keyboard might say j
or t. and its totally random. But yet pop into notepad, or word and guess
what the keyboard echo works fine.
Thanks all for you thoughts.
Have a good day.
