Next time I see the dialogue I will change to high contrast settings
with black on white and see what results with Convenient OCR.

and then converting to black and white thing.  I'm still not sure I
totally 
get that, but it sounds like the conversion to greyscale thing is
necessary 
before one can convert to the presumably more contrasted black/white.

And your saying this can't be done then, on the whole windows OS screen

itself then, before running convenient OCR? and then setting it back to

normal afterwards? Or I guess that isn't that feasible to do??? Maybe
it 
can't even be done in windows colour schemes anywayz.

I wonder.
