We at SSB have installed BX without incident into JAWS 10 as of today.
I know the BX installer fails to work on some machines now and then
but have not managed to devote enough time to figuring out why. A
coworker of mine used the BX installer to install into JAWS 10 about
half an hour ago though.
As for manual steps, here's a list off the top of my head, in
admittedly brief language. WARNING: Doing this wrong can render JAWS
pretty inoperative. If that happens, run JAWS with /default on its
command line from the Windows Run box and clean things up that way.
1. Copy default.jsb from the JAWS shared folder to default_fs.jsb in
the JAWS user folder.
2. Copy from the BX tree j5/bx.jsb, j5/bx.kmp, and bx.jcf into the
JAWS user folder.
3. Write the following default.jss in the user folder:
use "default_fs.jsb"
use "bx.jsb"
void function _filler()
; Required for some JAWS versions to compile this.
return
endFunction
Compile that new default.jss and reload JAWS to activate BX.
